Abstract:El género Erythrodiplax fue establecido por Brauer (1868), para reunir 10 especies americanas (en el siguiente orden): E. fusca (Rambur), E. confusa (Hagen), E. chloropleura (Brauer), E. anomala (Brauer), E. umbrata (Linnaeus), E. superba (Hagen), E. distinguenda (Rambur), E. plebeja (Rambur), E. leontina (Brauer) y E. connata (Burmeister).
