Abstract:This paper reports on the design of a complete RF MEMS reference oscillator platform to replace bulky quartz in wireless handsets targeting LTE specifications. 106 fs jitter, 76.8 MHz AlN-on-Si reference oscillator is designed with layers for passive temperature compensation achieving frequency stability of 105 ppm across temperature ranges of -40˚C to 85˚C. The oscillator consumes 850 μA, with figure-of-merit FOM of 216 dB. Initial frequency offset of 8000 ppm and temperature drift errors are combined and fur… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
