Abstract:Carboxymethyl starch (CMS)/b-cyclodextrin (b-CD) microgels with pH and ionic strength sensitivities have been synthesized by chemical crosslinking. The characterization of microgels was investigated by thermogravimetric analysis, zeta potential measurements, swelling, and rheological analyses. Thermogravimetric analysis data showed that the initial degradation temperature of microgels was higher than that of CMS, but lower than that of b-CD. The zeta potentials of microgels decreased with increasing weight rat… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
