Rheumatic manifestations of Epstein-Barr virus in children

Abstract: Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is known to cause infectious mononucleosis; in addition, it is strongly associated with malignancies. Studies have also demonstrated that EBV infection may trigger the development of systemic lupus erythematosus.
