Abstract:Background: According to estimates from the World Health Organization, TB afflicted about 12 million people in 2019 and claimed nearly 1.7 million lives. Pakistan is rated fifth worldwide for the prevalence of TB and fourth among developing nations for the emergence of treatment resistance.
