RIN in Gain-Switched Dual-State Lasing Quantum Dot Lasers Based on Multi-population Rate Equations

Abstract: <p>Relative intensity noise of simultaneous ground-state emission and excited-state emission a quantum dot laser are investigated theoretically for both multi-mode and single mode model under the gain-switching condition with the application of a Gaussian pulse beam to excited state.</p>
