Risk Factor Identification of Sustainable Guarantee Network Based on Logistic Regression Algorithm

Abstract: In order to investigate the factors influencing the sustainable guarantee network and its differences in different spatial and temporal scales, logistic regression algorithm is used to analyze the data of listed companies in 31 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions in China from 2008 to 2017 (excluding Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan). The study finds that, overall, companies with better profitability, poor solvency, poor operational capability and higher levels of economic development are more likely t… Show more

“…Fit has long been a central concept in a firm's strategy formulation (Toulan et al 2006). The strategic fit paradigm further suggests that the alignment between the business environment and firms' strategic goals has a positive impact on firm performance (Venkatraman 1989;Venkatraman and Prescott 1990;He et al 2019). This is also consistent with the contingency theory that argues organizational performance is largely determined by the level of congruence or fit between a firm's strategic decisions and contextual factors (Hofer 1975).…”

“…The identification of risk factors is important and can be done by using various methods (He et al 2019). This study has only predicted the duration, the number of infections and deaths, and the virus's impact on the economy because the data on COVID-19 are limited.…”

“…He et al collected the panel data of listed companies in 31 provinces, cities, and autonomous regions in China (excluding Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan) from 2008 to 2017 from the China Stock Market and Accounting Research (CSMAR) database and the China International Bureau of Statistics website, by using a logistic regression algorithm [15]. This paper explored the spatiotemporal differences of China's guarantee network risk factors, and explored the internal and external factors that affect the guarantee network risk from these two perspectives.…”
