Risk factors and therapeutic options for postoperative intra-abdominal septic complication in Crohn’s disease

Abstract: Background: Approximately 70% of patients suffering from Crohns disease require surgery in their lifetime. The postoperative course is complex, with higher complication rates compared to major colorectal surgery and with a high incidence of Intra Abdominal Septic Complications (IASC).
