Risk Factors Associated with Common Infectious Diseases in Beef Cattle in Menofia Governorate

Abstract:This study was conducted in Menofia governorate to determine the most common infectious diseases in beef cattle and associated risk factors. A total of 450 samples were collected from 150 diseased beef cattle of different ages, sex and seasons. Results of blood smears revealed that 14.7% were positive for blood parasites, including 9.3% and 5.4% for Babesia and Theileria infection, respectively.
