“…A Canadian study conducted in April 2020 revealed that 37% and 57% of pregnant individuals endorsed clinically elevated symptoms of depression and anxiety, respectively ( Lebel et al., 2020 ). Furthermore, a study of perinatal women in the United States, conducted between May and August, found that 36% endorsed high levels of depression and 23% reported generalized anxiety ( Liu et al., 2020 ).
