Risk factors for venous thromboembolism in patients with diabetes undergoing joint arthroplasty

Abstract: Background: Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a significant complication after joint arthroplasty. Diabetes is related to a few changes in coagulation and fibrinolysis that may lead to thrombophilia.
