Risk factors in venous thromboembolism in hospitalized patients

Abstract: AbstractVenous thromboembolism (VTE) causes considerable morbidity and mortality. About half of all VTE cases in adults are related to recent hospitalization, in spite of the clinical guidelines regarding prophylaxis.
