“…In the current study, we used the Longitudinal Health Insurance Database 2005 (LHID, 2005), which contains longitudinally linked data of 1 000 000 enrollees (approximately 5% of the population of Taiwan) randomly sampled from the 2005 Registry for Beneficiaries of the NHIRD. The LHID has been validated as a representative sample of the Taiwanese population with regard to age, sex, and income (Wang et al, 2020).
