Risk Management of Endoscopic Sphincterotomy for Choledocholithiasis

Abstract: Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) is accepted as a safe, direct technique for evaluating pancreatobiliary diseases. Since the introduction of endoscopic sphincterotomy (EST), ERCP has evolved from a diagnostic procedure to a therapeutic one.
