Risk of Respiratory Complications and Wound Infection in Patients Undergoing Ambulatory Surgery

Abstract: Smoking was associated with an increased risk of respiratory complications and postoperative wound infection in ambulatory surgery patients. These findings warrant increased efforts at promoting smoking avoidance and cessation.
