Rituais de cuidado realizados pelas famílias na preparação para a vivência do parto domiciliar planejado

Abstract

This ethnographic study aimed to understand the rituals of care performed by families, while preparing for the experience of planned home birth. 25 families participated in the period September 2010 to April 2011. The techniques of data collection were participant observation and interview. Through the processes of apprehension, synthesis, theorization and re-contexture, two categories emerged: The house to be born in and Preparing baby's arrival. Homebirth is an experience built within the pregnant couple. The house is considered the sacred place to experience childbirth, aggregating existential values to the physiological act of giving birth. Understanding these rituals contributes to offer a nursing care of quality in order to respect the cultural aspects involved in this assistance.

The Meaning Assigned by Couples to Planned Home Birth Supported by Nurse Midwives of the Hanami Team

“…Therefore, it is imperative that the provided care is culturally responsible, respectful, sensitive, and competent. 7,15 In this sense, the nurses of the Hanami Team work with presuppositions based on the Theory of Diversity and Universality, 4 by seeking a cultural repatterning in the process of providing care to these couples, thus strengthening a care based on a model rebuilt or changed to support the couples to change/recognize the health or life patterns in order to make the labor process meaningful or consistent with its current meaning. Therefore, such care with a new meaning is striking in their lives.…”

Parto domiciliar planejado no Brasil: uma revisão sistemática nacional

“…Em estudo realizado com 14 mulheres na região de Campinas/SP, destaca-se fato de todas as mulheres envolvidas possuírem ensino superior completo e união estável, corroborando dados anteriormente citados, e a maior parte da amostra foi composta por primíparas, novamente 36 . Aliás, dos 10 estudos desta categoria, 8 apresentaram amostra predominantemente casada ou em união estável, em sua maioria com ensino superior completo e primíparas 16,26,[35][36][37][38][39][40] . Tais dados corroboram os dados apresentados nos estudos quantitativos, evidenciando a elitização da possibilidade de escolha pelo PDP, tendo em vista a praticamente a inexistência deste procedimento no âmbito da saúde pública no Brasil.…”

“…Em artigo originado da mesma pesquisa em questão 39 , no qual objetivou-se identificar os rituais associados ao preparo do lar para o PDP, encontrou-se referência a rituais para purificação do ambiente de modo a tornar a casa preparada física e simbolicamente para a chegada do bebê, favorecendo a espontaneidade emocional e subjetiva. E tal pesquisa chama atenção também o fato do contato com o hospital (em visitas prénatais aos locais de referência em possíveis transferências) reafirmar a escolha pelo PDP, a partir do momento em que a visualização e contato próximo com o modelo e local de parto ali vigentes reforça o domicílio como melhor local para o parto, na concepção destas famílias 39 .…”
