Abstract:Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) are important for the pathogenesis of psoriasis and other autoimmune disorders. In the extracellular matrix, accumulation of proinflammatory cytokines, such as interleukin 17A (IL-17A), leads to induction of several MMPs, including MMP1.
