“…Three-dimensional (3-D) imaging plays a key role in 3-D techniques. Also, their application fields are very broad such as augmented reality, autonomous driving, entertainment, defense, and biomedical imaging [ 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 ]. The main components of a 3-D imaging system are divided into 3-D image acquisition, 3-D image processing, and 3-D visualization.…”

“…Moreover, it can provide quasi‐continuous viewpoints and full parallax information 4,5 . Integral imaging has shown great potential applications in many fields, such as commercial electronics, entertainment, manufacturing, autonomous driving, augmented reality, and so on 6 . However, it also has certain limitations in terms of display performance, specifically, small viewing angle, low resolution, and narrow depth of field (DOF) 5,7 .…”

“…The real 3D display systems of various types, including integral imaging and holographic and multi-view methods are available at present [1][2][3]. In [4], a detailed overview of some studies in the field of integral imaging, including sensing of 3D scenes, processing of captured information, and 3D display and visualization of information is presented. Integral imaging has significant advantages over other methods, namely, the absence of a complex mechanical and optical system, the use of inexpensive materials in production, and the possibility of simultaneous vision by several viewers.…”
