As the portal attached to their hand moves, the view from the other side of the magic (blue) is visible at the left side of the user's Point of View (PoV), providing visual information from the orange portal position. They place the portal in the region of data of interest by opening their fist. b) After placement, the opening of the portal (blue) moves comfortably within the user's reach allowing them to pass their virtual hand through the portal so that they can select distant data points as easily as those nearby. c) When the user is interacting with the target data point through the portal, a robot arm will hold a physical prop in the interaction location providing real time haptic feedback.
