Abstract:Portal lymphadenectomy is an integral part of gallbladder, intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma, and perihilar cholangiocarcinoma resection to improve staging and prognostication. This is also believed by many oncologists to potentially serve as therapy to remove cancer containing nodes.
