Robust adaptive fuzzy filters output feedback control of strict-feedback nonlinear systems

Abstract: In this paper, an adaptive fuzzy robust output feedback control approach is proposed for a class of single input single output (SISO) strict-feedback nonlinear systems without measurements of states. The nonlinear systems addressed in this paper are assumed to possess unstructured uncertainties, unmodeled dynamics and dynamic disturbances, where the unstructured uncertainties are not linearly parameterized, and no prior knowledge of their bounds is available. In recursive design, fuzzy logic systems are used t… Show more

“…12,13 If the prior knowledge about the sign of control direction is not known or it changes with time, many approaches could be applied to handle this problem such as using Nussbaum gain techniques 11,14 and utilizing a hysteresis-type function in adaptive fuzzy control. 12,13 If the prior knowledge about the sign of control direction is not known or it changes with time, many approaches could be applied to handle this problem such as using Nussbaum gain techniques 11,14 and utilizing a hysteresis-type function in adaptive fuzzy control.…”

“…This work avoids the singularity problem, while the proposed algorithm is challenging to be implemented. These problems are relaxed in [14], where by using an adaptive fuzzy controller the singularity problem is completely avoided. The work also guarantees the closed‐loop stability without the requirement of integral‐type Lyapunov functions.…”

“…There seems to be no simple way to determine the control parameters. In general, adaptive fuzzy backstepping control can provide a systematic methodology of solving tracking or regulation control problems, where fuzzy systems are used to approximate unknown nonlinear functions with unknown parameters (Shaocheng et al, 2010).…”
