Abstract:Controller design for the boost-pressure of an exhaust-gas turbo-charger is considered. To this end, we propose a sliding mode controller with integral action in the slidingvariable. The design is simple, requires a small number of sensors and is robust with respect to various uncertainties and disturbances. Compared to standard integral sliding-mode controllers our design approach yields a dynamics of lower order which simplifies the stability and invariance analysis.
