“…EFR usage is to enhance frequency [22] stability while considering the rate of change of frequency (ROCOF). The ESSs asset provide a proportional power response when it is higher than frequency insensitive band which is ∆f = ±0.05Hz for wide band and ∆f = ±0.015Hz for narrow band frequency response.…”

“…This can be estimated from the estimated phase-angleφ. For this purpose, we consider the idea used in [14], [38]. In this approach, time derivative of the phase angle can be considered as an approximation of the frequency deviation dynamics.…”

“…However, variable sampling frequency is not suitable for control applications (issue with filter design) and variable window length can be computationally expensive. Regression-based techniques [12]- [14] are another popular technique available in the literature. This type of technique use a parameterized model of the grid voltage signal.…”

“…Renewable energy sources (RES) such as solar photovoltaics (PV) will play a vital role in achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050. RES are connected to the existing alternating current (AC) grid through a voltage source inverter (VSI) [43,44,45]. An efficient operation of the RES-interfaced VSI can only be guaranteed when the output of the VSI matches in-phase with the grid voltage signal.…”
