Robust H Fault Detection for Networked Markov Jump Systems with Random Time‐Delay

Abstract: This paper investigates the problem of robust ∞ fault detection for networked Markov jump systems with random time-delay which is introduced by the network. The random time-delay is modeled as a Markov process, and the networked Markov jump systems are modeled as control systems containing two Markov chains. The delay-dependent fault detection filter is constructed. Furthermore, the sufficient and necessary conditions which make the closed-loop system stochastically stable and achieve prescribed ∞ performance … Show more

“…Time-delay is often encountered in industrial engineering, such as the chemical process and networked control system [27], and often brings in great difficulty in control system design. For example, networked control systems are typical time-delay systems and the time-delay introduced by the network inevitably makes the system performance degraded and may even damage the system stability [28], [29]. Although many modern control strategies have been developed for time-delay systems, PID control is considered as a simple yet effective manner to possess great robustness against system time-delay [30]- [32].…”

“…The fault detection problem for the networked Markovian jump system was investigated. By treating the S‐to‐C delay as a Markovian chain, the resulting system was converted into a system containing two Markovian chains [31]. Although some results on the networked Markovian jump system have been reported, but research studies for the networked Markovian jump system with data packet loss are rare.…”
