Robust optimisation of dynamic and NVH characteristics for compound power-split hybrid transmission

Abstract: In this paper, vibro-acoustic characteristics of a power-split hybrid transmission including a compound planetary gear set are investigated by numerical procedure and refined system dynamics modelling. For validation of the numerical predictions, bench tests are performed for dynamic and acoustic responses of the hybrid transmission, contribution rates of acoustic radiation power induced due to the planetary gears, support bearings, transmission shafts and the gearbox housing are estimated.
