Min-projection switching law, a related control method of switched linear systems model, is famous for its outstanding dynamic performance. However, under digital control framework, H6 inverter directly employing it performs unsatisfactorily. To improve the performance, a new control law based on projection-value-based switching strategy named synthetic velocity vectors control law (SVVCL) is proposed in this paper. Compared with min-projection switching law, SVVCL could be effectively applied on digitalcontrolled H6 inverter under the framework of pulse width modulation (PWM) technique. Firstly, fitness function of SVVCL considering static and dynamic performances is established. Secondly, control law is simplified to improve its accessibility. Further, a common approach to design compensator for improving output robustness is discussed. Finally, experiments on a 400W prototype are carried out. Results show that H6 inverter employing SVVCL has preferable static performance, strong robustness, as well as excellent dynamic response characteristics.
