Robustness of the Multi‐objective Moora Method With a Test for the Facilities Sector

Abstract: The definition of robustness in econometrics, the error term in a linear equation, was not only broadened, but in addition moved to the meaning of common language: from a cardinal to a qualitative one. These interpretations were tested by an application on the Facilities Sector in Lithuania. The application is multi‐objective: like costs, experience and effectiveness at the side of the contractors; quality, duration of the work and cost price at the side of the owners. These objectives having all different uni… Show more

“…This method was developed (Brauers & Zavadskas, 2010) and became MULTIMOORA (MOORA plus the full multiplicative form). These methods have been applied in different studies (Brauers, Ginevičius, Zavadskas, & Antuchevičienė, 2007;Brauers & Ginevičius, 2009;Brauers & Zavadskas 2009;Baležentis A., Baležentis, T., & Valkauskas, 2010;Brauers, Ginevičius, & Podvezko, 2010).…”

“…In these studies, MOORA method was applied in various fields. Some studies using MOORA method in the literature might be summarized as privatization at transition economies (Brauers and Zavadskas, 2006) multi-objective optimization of road design alternatives (Brauers et al, 2012) strength of regional development studies in Lithuania (Brauers and Zavadskas, 2009) testing the economies of…”

“…Civil engineering is a field, where decision-making problems are complex (Brauers et al 2008, Brauers andZavadskas 2009) and their solution relies on multiple criteria (Ginevičius et al 2008;Zavadskas et al 2008). Therefore, a multi-criteria decision analysis approach (MCDA) can be applied for obtaining the problem's solution here (Brauers and Zavadskas 2009). Preparation of building repair activities in multi-family dwelling houses poses an important problem (Dytczak, Ginda 2009).…”

“…To support a decision-maker effectively, information pertaining to the importance of particular influences is required. Such information can be obtained using special means of multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) methodology (Brauers and Zavadskas 2009). The decisions made are usually based on an economical criterion only, and the influence of other issues is taken into account only intuitively.…”
