Role of Curcumin in Beta Thalassemia: A Review

Abstract: Beta-thalassemia is an inherited blood disorder characterized by defective beta chains of hemoglobin which often lead to the development of anemia. These patients require periodic blood transfusions to compensate for anemia. However, these transfusions often lead to complications such as iron overload.
