Role of ferroptosis in the occurrence and progression of acute ischemic stroke

Abstract: Ferroptosis is a new non-apoptotic form of regulatory cell death, which is characterized by intracellular iron overload and excessive accumulation of lipid peroxides and reactive oxygen species (ROS).
