In the case of historic buildings, especially those under protection, it is important to replace elements of the roof covering, while maintaining current technical standards, to meet the requirements of the conservator. The authors of the article present alternatives to commonly used solutions, based on their experience with replacing historic building roofing with ceramic tiles made according to the production and firing technology of the nineteenth century. They emphasize that the correct/specialized restoration of existing tiles in a building makes it possible to preserve and reuse them, which is in line with the principles of historic preservation. However, due to the preservation of the roof tiles, it is not always possible to revitalize them. As a solution to the problem, the use of clay roof tiles manufactured according to 19th-century firing technology, including handmade methods, is presented, which preserves the geometry of the historic roof tiles. The approach presented by the authors meets both the requirements of conservation theory and the building standards for roofing elements. Although it is much more expensive than the solutions currently commonly used that result from modern technical requirements and tile-manufacturing technology, in the case of objects of significant cultural heritage, it is a solution that meets modern technical requirements while not compromising the original appearance of the monument.

Urbanization today is a global process that "shrinks" and "densifies" urban areas, whilst significantly and chaotically expanding cities. As a result, many problems arise, including the reduction or destruction of green spaces. This study proposes the systematization of urban landscapes at the global, macro, local, and micro levels to improve the sustainable development of urban areas. The article also discusses the impact of the urbanized landscape on the level of happiness and quality of life of urban residents, and the possibility of their participation in the development of greening of urban spaces. The purpose of the article: the research goal is to propose a concept for the systematization of the urbanized landscape, which is based on the vector of sustainable development in order to improve the level of happiness and quality of life of people in the largest cities. The methods of the scientific work: the methods of complex and system analysis, the historical method, cartography, photographic fixation, work with archives, the study of literary data, etc. were used. The main results: the result presents the systematization of urban landscapes as a single system, the identification of the main components of the four levels of this system, and their characteristics in terms of their impact on the level of happiness and quality of life of people. Taking into account the fact that the level of happiness of each individual or community depends on many factors and is a fairly broad concept, in this article, this term is understood as satisfaction with the degree of saturation with natural elements in the environment. At the same time, the quality of life is the ability of a person (or community) to directly contact with nature and its various constituent elements in the urban environment.

The history and principles of planning the park of the aristocratic country residence of the Galagan family – "Sokyryntsi" are described. Compared to such parks as Oleksandriia and Sofiivka, Sokyryntsi Park is much less well-known, although it is a unique intermediate link between the "official" parks of Classicism-Empire style, such as Oleksandriia in Bila Tserkva and "private" "Ossian parks", as Sofiivka Park in Uman. Although in some sources Sokyryntsi Park with a complex of buildings and structures belongs to the Empire style, but a deeper analysis has shown the simultaneous presence of components characteristic of the "English Landscape Park" and "Ossian Park". The Sokyryntsi ensemble is a unique example in terms of its division into three zones – "parade", "memorial", closed from strangers, and "recreational" on the shores of reservoirs. In addition, this is a rare example of the location directly on the estate of two churches, family crypts and the house of the estate founder. The Sokyryntsi ensemble is a unique example of how the "double life" of the family was subconsciously embodied in the planning and development of the park, where the "parade" part testified to the education of the owners and their role in the Russian Empire, instead, the hidden "memorial" part acted as a "figure of silence" about the shameful deeds of the estate founder. The methods of historical and culturological analysis, method of comparative analysis, method of field surveys with the implementation of dimensional drawings and photofixation were used.
