Abstract:There are various types of cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE), either with or without the association of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). In some of the subtypes of cutaneous lupus, histopathology reveals neutrophil infiltration in the lesional skin; however, the significance of neutrophils in CLE is not yet fully elucidated.
