“…It is now clear that moderate aerobic exercise has a positive effect on health and body weight, as well as on increasing cognitive abilities. Moreover, Orexin-A levels regulate the concentration of glucose: hyperglycemia could be caused by an insufficient Orexin-A signal, blocking physical activity and promoting an overweight state (Catenacci and Wyatt, 2007;Cox, 2017;Monda et al, 2019).…”

“…The existing evidence indicates that healthy eating habits and physical activity (PA) are a prerequisite for maintaining a normal body weight [11][12][13][14][15]. According to World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines, obese individuals should increase their PA to ≥150 min/ week in order to boost their metabolic rate and energy expenditure and achieve a negative energy balance [16].…”

“…People with obesity are entangled in a vicious circle: as their weight discourages them from exercise, they tend to avoid PA and so they become more obese. It is therefore important for unhealthy habits to be changed step by step because trying to modify them at once can have a demotivating effect and impair the effectiveness and sustainability of the process [11,14,[24][25][26][27].…”
