Role of Pneumococcal Autolysin for KLF4 Expression and Chemokine Secretion in Lung Epithelium

Abstract: In severe pneumococcal pneumonia, the delicate balance between a robust inflammatory response necessary to kill bacteria and the loss of organ function determines the outcome of disease.
