Role of Rifampin in Reducing Inflammation and Neuronal Damage in Childhood Bacterial Meningitis

Abstract: Pretreatment with single dose rifampin 30 minutes before ceftriaxone administration reduced the CSF concentrations of markers of inflammation and neuronal damage in children with bacterial meningitis.
