However, Taha (2020) recorded higher intensity of infection in small‐sized fish than in the larger ones. These differences in prevalence between the current and prior results could be attributed to a variety of factors, including geographic region, host size and age, seasonal fluctuations, feeding patterns, water supply type and final host abundance (Dione et al, 2014; Kloser & Plotz, 1992; Palm, 1999; Palm et al, 1994).…”
