The present work aims, along the presented contents, to emphasize the use of robots within health, promoting assistance and assistance to health professionals, and highlighting which processes can be consolidated with the use of technology. The general objective of the research is to highlight the main aspects of the use of robotics in the health area, regarding the specific objectives, they are: to highlight the positive and negative aspects of the use of robotics in health; assess how health professionals use robots in their routines; present the researchers’ view on robotic procedures in health. In the methodological field, a literature review was carried out, highlighting some of the main concepts and addressing the vision of renowned authors on the process of inclusion of technology within health organizations. It can be concluded that technology promotes the understanding of relevant points so that treatments, processes and diagnoses are performed more effectively by health professionals.

Objetivo: Identificar os principais desafios e perspectivas da atuação do enfermeiro na cirurgia robótica. Método: Revisão integrativa, realizadanas bases de dados Literatura Latino-Americana e do Caribe em Ciências da Saúde (LILACS), PubMed e ScienceDirect, de artigos publicados entre 2008e abril de 2015; amostra constituída por 11 artigos. Para análise dos dados, realizou-se síntese das informações extraídas conforme o objetivo, buscandoidentificar as evidências. Resultados: A busca resultou na identificação de 281 estudos, sendo 225 na ScienceDirect, 51 na PubMed e cinco na LILACS.Foram selecionados 11 estudos que atendiam aos critérios de inclusão e estavam alinhados à questão norteadora, sendo 9 qualitativos, 1 revisão sistemáticade ensaio clínico randomizado e 1 estudo de validação. Conclusão: Evidenciaram-se como desafios: segurança do paciente, capacitação da equipe edesenvolvimento de competências. Em relação às possibilidades, observaram-se uma nova área de atuação em desenvolvimento, a importância da educaçãopermanente e da inovação para a melhoria no atendimento aos pacientes cirúrgicos.

The robotic nurse plays an essential role in a successful robotic surgery. As part of the robotic surgical team, the robotic nurse must demonstrate a high level of professional knowledge, and be an expert in robotic technology and dealing with robotic malfunctions. Each one of the robotic nursing team “nurse coordinator, scrub-nurse and circulating-nurse” has a certain job description to ensure maximum patient's safety and robotic surgical efficiency. Well-structured training programs should be offered to the robotic nurse to be well prepared, feel confident, and maintain high-quality of care.
