Role of VPS39, a key tethering protein for endolysosomal trafficking and mitochondria–lysosome crosstalk, in health and disease

Abstract: The coordinated interaction between mitochondria and lysosomes, mainly manifested by mitophagy, mitochondria‐derived vesicles, and direct physical contact, is essential for maintaining cellular life activities.
