Roles of Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress in Neurodegenerative Diseases

Abstract: The accumulation of misfolded proteins disrupts the functioning of endoplasmic reticulum (ER), leading to induction of the unfolded protein response (UPR) that protect cells against the toxic buildup of such proteins.
