Roles of spin fluctuation and frustration in the superconductivity ofβ(BDA-TTP)2X(

Abstract: ␤-type BDA-TTP ͓BDA-TTP=2,5-bis͑1,3-dithian-2-ylidene͒-1,3,4,6-tetrathiapentalene͔ salts possess high transition temperatures T C reaching 7 K among organic superconductors. T C of ␤-͑BDA-TTP͒ 2 X ͑X = SbF 6 , AsF 6 ͒ is studied by resistive measurements under uniaxial compression. T C once increases and takes a maximum under compression parallel to the donor stack while it decreases under compression perpendicular to the donor stack. These results are in agreement with the half-filled Hubbard model on the tri… Show more

“…26) A similar argument based on the dimer model is also seen in the other half-filling organic conductor. 39) However, the recent density-function theory (DFT) calculations using a generalized-gradient-approximation (GGA) suggested a lower t 0 =t ($ 0:8) than the EH results, 38,40) while the previous DFT calculation gave higher values. 41,42) For t 0 =t $ 0:8 at ambient pressure, the b-axis strain increases the frustration.…”

“…Besides TMTSF, TMTTF, BO, ET, and BETS superconductors, there are other superconductors (Scheme 7, numbers in bracket are the total members of each superconducting family and the highest Tc) of CT salts based on symmetric (BEDSe-TTF [140] and BDA-TTP [141][142][143][144]) and asymmetric donors (ESET-TTF [145], S,S-DMBEDT-TTF [146], meso-DMBEDT-TTF [147,148], DMET [149], DODHT [150], TMET-STF [151], DMET-TSF [152], DIETS [153], EDT-TTF [154], MDT-TTF [155,156], MDT-ST [157,158], MDT-TS [159], MDT-TSF [160][161][162][163], MDSe-TSF [164], DTEDT [165], and DMEDO-TSeF [166,167]). κ-(MDT-TTF)2AuI2 (Tc = 3.5 K) exhibited a Hebel-Slichter coherent peak just below Tc, indicating a BCS-type gap with s-symmetry [156].…”

“…On the other hand, d-wave like superconductivity has been suggested for β-(BDA-TTP)2SbF6 [143,144]. β-(BDA-TTP)2X (X = SbF6, AsF6) exhibited a slight Tc increase at the initial stage of uniaxial strain parallel to the donor stack and interlayer direction while Tc decreased perpendicular to the donor stack [142]. θ- [167].…”

“…Recently, applying uniaxial strain along the c-axis has given higher T c 5 . Applying the uniaxial compression once increases the T c and takes a maximum before it decreases 6 . It is considered that applying the pressure in the I 3 salt increases the overlap between the upper and lower bands, which gradually changes the character of the system from a strongly correlated half-filled system to a moderately correlated quarter filled system.…”
