Roles of UV light strength and auxiliary electric field in the photocatalytic degradation effect of organic contaminant

Abstract: The accumulation of contaminants on the electrical devices could adversely affect the operation. The present work used photocatalytic functional material to coat on the surface of the electrical devices to prevent the influence of organic contamination. This kind of material was mainly composed of TiO 2 that can remove the contamination by the effect of photooxidation. The photocatalysis was affected by the strength of UV light and electric field. In the experiment, methyl orange (MO) was used as the organic c… Show more

“…Existing researches declare that the conductive ions dissolved in supercooled water droplets are gradually discharged from the ice interior to the ice surface during the phase transition [22, 23]. As a result, the conductivity of water film on the ice surface is much higher than that of ice during the melting process.…”

“…[16] The highenergetic UV radiation that is released during plasma processes can contribute to the cleaning effect. [17][18][19] The chemical pretreatment of aluminum considers aspects of cleaning, the mechanical removal of oxide layers, as well as pickling of surface layers and intermetallic phases. [20,21] Acidic and alkaline pickling lead to different results for aluminum alloys with regard to the thicknesses as well as the compositions of the resulting oxide layer thicknesses.…”

“…The flashover accident of the disk insulator can be the most severe one. [1][2][3][4] The GIL disk insulator is mainly made of epoxy resin composites doped with micro-Al 2 O 3 with a mass fraction of 60%, which has guaranteed the thermal, mechanical, and basic insulation requirements for the insulator. [5][6][7] However, the doping of Al 2 O 3 fillers has also reduced the surface insulation performance.…”
