“…Using inhibitors of polar auxin transport, various investigations in cuttings or de-rooted seedlings have provided evidence for a significant contribution of this type of transport to AR (e.g., Nordström and Eliasson, 1991; Liu and Reid, 1992; Koukourikou-Petridou and Bangerth, 1997; Guerrero et al, 1999; Garrido et al, 2002; Nicolás et al, 2004).
