Abstract: Corneal ulceration is a "silent epidemic" that impacts laborers’ lives, particularly in low-income countries, and calls for a unique ophthalmic drug delivery strategy that overcomes ocular barriers to promptly achieve therapeutic outcomes while remaining cost-effective.
