Abstract: Rotator cuff (RC) tears in pediatric and adolescent athletes are rare events. In these patients, RC tears are more likely to be traumatic or related to overuse among overhead. Repeated movements of abduction and external rotation are frequent mechanisms of injury. The supraspinatus is the most commonly involved tendon and the articular-sided tears are more common than the bursal side.
