Abstract

The chapter presents an innovative solution of gravity and gravity-underpressure rinsing the bottom of the retention chamber as soon as it is emptied of the sewage accumulated in it. Temporary accumulation of sewage in the retention chamber of the reservoir causes partial sedimentation of the solid phase suspended in the liquid. The ability to effectively rinse out sediments remaining at the bottom of the retention chamber is an important operational procedure for the proper functioning of the retention reservoir in the sewage network. The location of the rinsing chamber at the height of the maximum level of sewage filling in the retention chamber of the reservoir significantly increases the efficiency of rinsing the bottom of the retention chamber with the stream of sewage flowing out of the rinsing chamber.
