Ru(II)‐Catalyzed CH Functionalization with Olefins and Alkynes

Abstract: The cross‐dehydrogenative coupling reaction of substituted organic molecules with alkenes and alkynes has emerged as one of the most important synthetic organic chemistry reactions to construct structurally complex carbon‐based molecules. This article summarizes significant advances in chelation‐assisted ruthenium(II)‐catalyzed CH bond functionalization such as alkenylation, alkylation, and annulation via deprotonation pathway over the last decade.
