“…This reevaluation of enrollment metrics allows GPOs to consider all measures to reduce weighting towards areas that less privileged applicants lack access (Posselt et al., 2023). While the authors of this manuscript will explore specific thematic findings (application interaction, program design, timeliness, marketing and recruitment approaches, faculty engagement, institutional strategies and resources, and connecting with students) in more detail shortly, the overall study findings align with the existing literature which calls for the integration of more holistic admissions processes overall and the adoption of admissions rubrics as one component to reduce reviewer bias (Young et al., 2022). Additionally, the timeliness of program admissions criteria reviews supports enrollment best practices as GPOs are consistently assessing and evaluating admissions requirements to align with programs of similar calibers at competitor institutions.…”
