Abstract:Gastric ruptures in blunt abdominal traumatism is extremely rare accounting for 0.02 to 1.7 % of cases of blunt abdominal injuries. They are frequently associated with other intra- and or extra-abdominal lesions, which generally influence morbidity and mortality. We report two cases of gastric rupture, one with splenic and maxillo-facial injury, the other with forearm fracture, with good outcome after surgical treatment.
