Rural Adjustment Schemes: Juggling Politics, Welfare and Markets

Abstract: The Commonwealth government has offered support to farmers in the form of structural or business adjustment-type schemes since the Loan (Farmers Debt Adjustment) Acts of 1935Acts of -1971.
