Safe management of carotid body tumor resection without preoperative embolization: an Ecuadorian high-altitude cities experience

Abstract: Carotid body tumors (CBTs) are a neoplasm that affects the carotid glomus. This study aims to improve the management of CBTs in Ecuador. This single-center, retrospective observational study was conducted at the Instituto de la Tiroides y Enfermedades de Cabeza y Cuello (ITECC).
