“…Hotos and Vlahos (1998) conducted direct transfers of two species of Grey Mullet Chelon labrosus (Risso, 1827) and Mugil cephalus (Linnaeus, 1758) Table I. from 20 ppt to different salinities (35, 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65, 70, 75 and 80 ppt) and found that LC 50 24-h values were 53.1 ppt for C. labrosus and 50.4 ppt for M. cephalus respectively. In both species, mortality occurred at salinities greater than 45 ppt.…”
